A. No, domain registration is not included in our hosting plans.
You need to pay additional charge for that. We always ask for domain whether it’s registered or not in ordering procedure. If your domain is not registered then you have to pay for domain registration charges as per following link. Check Domain

A. As soon as you sign up at our hosting plan at ZYN MEDIA and making the payment, we will send you the welcome mail within 1-6 hrs with complete control panel info and ftp info. then you have to login at: www.blogger.com and set the ftp info according to following screenshot:
Q. What is Bandwidth and how it's calculated ?
A. The main factors that affect the Data Transfer or Bandwidth are : -> size of your web pages, -> number of hits for each page, and -> your ftp traffic, -> your mail traffic. You can check the bandwidth usage of your site in the Cpanel provided with web hosting package. There is a seperate section of "Logs" in cpanel which provides a detail view bandwidth.
Q. Can I upgrade my Hosting Plan later on? if yes, what is the process for that?
A. Yes, you can upgrade the Hosting Plan at anytime. You need simply place an Upgrade Order from your Member Control Panel (given to manage your all account with ZYN MEDIA) OR Just contact us on sales@zynmedia.com. You will be only charged for the upgraded plan from the date it starts. Same is for downgrading a plan.
Q. What is the difference between Windows and linux Hosting?
A. If you are using ASP, ASP.NET, MS SQL or MS access in your website then you should choose Windows 2003 plans or if you are using normal HTML Website or PHP or MY SQL database then Linux is best.

Q. What is difference between domain transfer and web hosting transfer?
Its very common question.
Domain and hosting both are totally difference thing. The nameservers connect the both domain registration and hosting.
Domain transfer means you will transfer your domain name i.e. mybusiness.com to Zyn Media. After transfering your domain you have to manage your domain nameservers, whois info from Zyn Media control Panel only.
Web Hosting transfer means You will transfer your website contents to Zyn Media. It can be done through ftp by your self or our technical staff will do it for you through more advanced options of Account transfer depending on your previous hosting provider facilities.

Sign up for a hosting plan with Zyn Media
You can signup via this website by clicking on Zyn Media. It takes us about 2 hour to get your plan set up on our network.
We will email you once your plan is provisioned on our servers.
You will receive Welcome Mail subject: “Account Welcome Mail” email that provides your IP address, our DNS information, account summary, etc., with the "Getting Started with Zyn Media" email that offers links to our Knowledge Base for answers to our most commonly asked questions and how to go about getting your site up and running with us.
Upload your website files to the IP address we have assigned you, transfer your database and create your email addresses with our Control Panel.
After you have uploaded everything associated with your website to our server, you'll then want to test your site. You can easily do this by typing your temp address (You can easily get temp address from our support guys) into an Internet browser to ensure everything works prior to actually contacting your registrar and pointing the domain to our network.
Go to your domain name registrar and change your DNS settings to Zyn Media (Primary DNS = ns1.xincmedia.com and Secondary DNS = ns2.xincmedia.com).
You will then need to go to the website of the registrar you originally bought your domain name from (Network Solutions, Register.com, etc.) and log in to their online domain management tool. You will need to replace your existing primary and secondary name server with ours. This change of information will take 12 to 72 hours to propagate and update throughout the web.
Wait for the propagation to finish (approximately 12-72 hours).
While the propagation is taking effect, you will have basically two sites available and active - the one at your old host and the one on our servers. This will minimize any lost traffic and/or emails. In order to receive mail from both locations, however, you will need two profiles in your email client - the one that is already drawing email from your old host and the new one drawing email from us. Alternatively, you can also simply use our web mail interface to get the email that is sent to our servers.
Cancel with your previous host.
After the appropriate propagation time, you can go and cancel the hosting account you have at your previous host as all of your website traffic and emails should now be coming to our servers.
Transfer your domain name. (optional)
If you would like to transfer your domain and consolidate your registration and web hosting to one source, you can utilize the Transfer Domain option. The domain transfer itself costs NOTHING; we simply add one year of registration onto the expiration date.
Q. What if I want to buy a hosting plan but don't want to transfer my domain registration?
A. You do not have to transfer your existing domain name to Zyn Media to host with us. You can change your primary and secondary domain name servers on your own schedule as we cannot modify any settings with your registrar.
Q. Will I see any downtime when I move my website to Zyn Media?
A. Not necessarily. The whole moving process usually takes a few days to complete (the longest part being propagation which can take between 24 to 96 hours). But till then youe website will work properly on old server. Please contact us and we will transfer it with out any downtime for free. |
